Taking an organization's existing platform into a purpose-built mobile experience—one developer, from application architecture through store deployment.
The problem
The organization had an established website and backend, but its mobile users needed a purpose-built experience for the information and workflows they use throughout the season.
The solution
VanSlyke Ventures designed and developed a cross-platform mobile application that works with the organization’s existing systems instead of requiring them to replace what already worked.
What I built
The project included React Native application development, API integration, authentication, role-based functionality, push notifications, testing and debugging, plus the iOS and Android deployment process.
The real challenge
Production software is more than screens and code. It has to fit existing data, support different user roles, behave reliably on two mobile platforms, and meet the operational requirements of both app stores.
The result
A real mobile product built for an operating youth sports organization.
